Now that my Design Team has been busy creating fun projects with the Schlosser Designs stamp sets, let's meet them! Here's Michele Gross: Tell us a little bit about yourself: I'm happy, cheerful, positive, a little zany at times, and I believe dessert is good for you. I'm married to my best friend, mom to our 2 amazing boys, spoiler to Ellie our Diva Dog, and I am a stamper! When I'm not getting inky in my studio, or spending endless hours at the skate park with my guys (wishing they were bubble-wrapped!), I enjoy cooking, reading, and cheering (loudly) for my favorite baseball team-the Rockies!! When did you start … [Read more...]
Tutorial Tuesday: Stamping on Vinyl
We're going to embellish a sketchbook today. I usually buy mine in packs of 3 plain ones and embellish them depending on my mood or favorite color. This weekend I finished filling up one sketchbook and needed to get another one ready to go. My last one was embossed paper and velvet ribbon: I went with something a little more fall feeling this time around. I had a scrap of red vinyl in my scrap bag and stamped a pattern on that. I really like how it turned out! Want to make one? It's easy: Use pinking shears to cut a 1" strip of the vinyl. This gives it a nice zig-zag edge. Stamp directly onto the vinyl with a permanent … [Read more...]
Meet the Design Team: Tina Fussell
Meet fabulous DT member Tina Fussell! Tell us a little bit about yourself: My name is Tina, but in the blog world everyone knows me as the Traveling Mama. We currently live in Denmark, but we lived in Morocco for three years and Spain for two. I guess after three languages you figure, what’s one more? Our Traveling Tribe includes my husband, my nine year old daughter, my five year old son, and our littlest son who is almost two. When did you start crafting? I have always loved making things even as a child. I made my very first scrapbook when my husband and I got engaged twelve years ago…but I didn’t really get into … [Read more...]
Tutorial Tuesday: Fabric Flower Rings
I'm in love with the new ring I just made! Isn't it cute! It's a little fabric flower ring! I love how they only take a very small amount of fabric (or ribbon!) so raid your scraps and see what you've got! You can also use ribbon you've got lying around too! (Here's a little tip for you: If you want to make a custom color of ribbon, try coloring a white or ivory ribbon with your Copic marker. It's permanent and you can make it any color you want to match a project or outfit!) What you'll need: 8" x 1" pieces of fabric strips (or ribbon) Ring blank Hot glue gun Velcro Coordinating beads Tacky Glue Take your … [Read more...]
Tutorial Tuesday – Quick and Simple Card
I've almost finished unpacking my craft room from my move! Yeah! I found just enough supplies to make a quick Thinking of You card today. I can't wait for the next few months though! It's my favorite time to craft! I LOVE fall and winter projects and I can't wait to show you what I've been working on for just such the occasion! I used the following sets to make this card: Starburst shape from Outside The Box, Thinking of You sentiment from Furnishing Fun. Just stamp the starburst using a few different colors of coordinating ink and top off the center with some coordinating colors of Stickles. Stamp the sentiment and make a … [Read more...]

Vote for Me
Hello All! I'm in the midst of CHA and packing but I'd thought I'd let you know about a little contest I was asked to participate in for DinoTalk. They have the coolest recordable items that you can make into fantastic projects. With some of their items from the Naked line I was asked to make some pieces for their Scrapbook Invitational. There's two ways to vote: Visit Dinotalk at booth 1216 at CHA Or You can send your vote in a quick email to contest@dinotalk.com They are still working on getting the pictures up on the site so let me show you what I did. I wanted to not just embellish their products, but make the recording … [Read more...]

Tutorial Tuesday: Baby Onesies
I went to a baby shower for a friend last week, and of course, wanted to give her something with more of a handmade feel. I got a package of baby onesies and used a piece of this fabric from Michael Miller that I'd been saving for just such an occasion. To keep things quick and simple I used the pattern on the fabric instead of creating my own applique patterns. All you need is some fabric, iron-on interfacing, (I used Heat and Bond.) fabric scissors, and some coordinating thread. Iron on the Heat and Bond to the back of the material following the instructions on the package. Cut out around the shapes you'd like to use leaving about … [Read more...]
It’s hot, let’s do a giveaway!
Hello Hello! I hope everyone is staying cool! It's been super hot here in the Midwest, and it seems most everywhere else too! Perfect time for a frozen treat, or a whole bowl full! I'm staying cool by thinking about all the gelato I had in Italy: I have a confession: I always say I'm not a scrapbooker, but I made a layout yesterday. I remembered why I don't scrapbook as much. Because this one layout took me about 4 hours. I loved detailed layouts with hidden journaling, lots of teeny tiny embellishments, and just the right papers! I think I might actually frame it in a shadow box because I LOVE how it turned out! (The little … [Read more...]
