Last weekend I spent some time at Craft Fancy in the Chicago area! They are the newest retailer to carry my stamps in their store and I had an awesome time meeting some of you and seeing what their design team made! This is the Make & Take that Marnie taught everyone how to make! Isn't it great? I love the combo of sky blue and happy orange! They used the Boughs stamp set, the sentiment from the Furnishing Fun set and the new Zing embossing powder from American Crafts. The embossing powder is awesome! Tutorial: Stamping is fun on fabric too!
Ok, so you remember what happens when I do a tutorial right? I'll be giving away something that you'll need to complete the project. And this time you get a choice! The winner will get to choose between a brand new StazOn ink pad, or a set of 4 ready-to-be-stamped-on napkins. So, after the tutorial be sure to follow the directions to enter! Bough Stamp Set
This set is super versatile. I was able to make the flowers, tree and topiary with the same stamp set. The only other stamp set I used was the "Thanks" Sentiment from the new Borders set! I think that the topiary might be my favorite, but I'm not sure, because I liked them all! … [Read more...]
Hand Embroidered Kitchen Towels
I made these for Mother's Day presents. (Hopefully my mom won't decide to make this the week that she checks my blog! The J is for Janet, my mom, and the G is for Gayle, my mother in law.) You might recognize the images...they are from my stamp sets that will be here soon! So here's what you do to make these, using stamps. Just stamp the image with black ink on white paper for the highest contrast. Then find where on the towel you'd like the image to be embroidered.
