Our quilt guild had a mug rug swap gift exchange at our Christmas Party this year. I went back and forth for weeks about what I wanted my mug rug to look like. I FINALLY settled on the idea that I wanted to incorporate french macarons in the project some how, as well as a fun quote. 30 Before 30: Vanilla Bean and Blackberry Macarons
Well, I checked another item off the 30 Before 30 list, yay! I made some French Macarons! (These are much different than their other macaroon counterparts...you know, the ones with coconut.) I was a bit apprehensive because there are lots of little steps and tricks to follow in order to get the "perfect" macaron. Friday Favorites: French Style!
I've been paying more attention lately to French recipes, interiors, and crafts. I've always loved everything French and am looking forward to the trip my husband and I have planned in mere weeks! We've finally bitten the bullet and will be traveling to Europe once he graduates with his graduate degree! I couldn't be more thrilled, excited, and humbled, to be able to have such a wonderful opportunity. Among other locations in Europe we'll be spending 5 days in Paris!
