Tutorial Tuesday – Quick and Simple Card

I've almost finished unpacking my craft room from my move!  Yeah!  I found just enough supplies to make a quick Thinking of You card today.  I can't wait for the next few months though!  It's my favorite time to craft!  I LOVE fall and winter projects and I can't wait to show you what I've been working on for just such the occasion! I used the following sets to make this card: Starburst shape from Outside The Box, Thinking of You sentiment from Furnishing Fun. Just stamp the starburst using a few different colors of coordinating ink and top off the center with some coordinating colors of Stickles.  Stamp the sentiment and make a … [Read more...]

Tutorial Tuesday: 3-D Butterfly Card

Spring is in the air!  (OK, well, almost...it was only in the 40's today in Chicago.) But we've got to think positive thoughts, right?!?  Here's a quick card to make! Tutorial Tuesday: Stamped Earrings

I sketched out this idea I wanted to try a few weeks ago and pulled out the supplies to make it.  I thought it would be fun to do a stamped pattern on shrinky dinks to make some fun earrings then add some embellishments for a little more texture!  I think they turned out well!  A great colorful accessory for the coming summer! This project actually has two separate parts to it.  First off we're going to make a shrinky dink ruler.  Trust me, this will make ALL your shrinky dink projects easier from here on out!  This is how you're going to know for sure how much your plastic will shrink!  It always says 1/3 ...but who wants to do the … [Read more...]

Video: Quick and Easy Gifts!

December 15, 2009

I had the wonderful opportunity a few weeks ago to film a short video segment for a local newspaper's online column (The Pioneer Press's Mommy on  Shoestring).  I loved being able to show my stamped dinner napkins in a video format!  (Only thing was, I had laryngitis when I filmed it...my voice doesn't REALLY sound like that!)  So without further ado, my stamped napkin tutorial! Click here for the link to the video: Stamped Napkin Tutorial. Be sure to check out the other videos!  There's lots of great budget conscious ideas that Beth as filmed! Thanks Beth for a wonderful opportunity! … [Read more...]
