Tutorial Tuesday-Wedding Gift

May 18, 2010

My cousin got married yesterday and I’m so excited for her!  I wanted to make them a little something to send along with their other gift.  I ended up taking their engagement photo and framing it in a shadow box from IKEA, etching the glass with some hearts, and adding the sentiment and their wedding date.  I LOVE how it turned out!  I hope she does too!

I also love how versatile it is.  This could easily be changed to make an anniversary gift, graduation gift, or a teacher gift!

Supplies used:

Cardstock and patterned paper from American Crafts and Bazzill

Adhesives from 3L Scrapbook adhesives

Frame from IKEA

I really love how this turned out! I have wanted to try etching for the longest time! What a terrific way to utilize this awesome technique!
